A practical guide to the size labels and measurements used on selected
Woahnow jackets, plus-size outerwear, children’s clothing, ski pants,
and hiking shoes.
Choose the chart for the exact product.
Each table below identifies the style it belongs to. Sizes and fit vary
between products; these are not one universal chart for the whole store.
The selected product page and any current product-specific chart take priority.
Clothing figures are reproduced from the linked products’ published charts.
Those sources do not explicitly identify every figure as a body measurement
or a finished-garment measurement. Confirm the measurement basis with us when
needed; do not treat all listed chest or waist figures as body-size targets
or flat widths.
1 inch = 2.54 cm. Centimeter figures are converted from the published inches
and rounded to one decimal place. Shoe-size conversions stay in their
original labeled units.
Applies to the linked Atna 014 style. The product calls its chest column
“Bust”; the values are reproduced here as chest / bust.
Do not apply this chart automatically to another jacket.
Applies only to the linked ThermoLite III style. Its published text chart
covers XS–XL, while its size selector also lists 2XL and 3XL.
Contact us for those measurements before choosing; they have not been
extrapolated here. These listed dimensions are not a universal women’s
body-size conversion.
B identifies the Big fit in this product’s chart. For example,
2XB corresponds to XX-Large Big. Big and Tall are separate fit options;
the same chest range does not mean the same waist or sleeve measurement.
T identifies the Tall fit in this product’s chart. LT means Large Tall,
XLT means X-Large Tall, and 2XLT means XX-Large Tall.
Use the listed measurements rather than selecting by height alone.
The linked product also lists 6X in its selector, but its published chart
does not provide 6X measurements. Contact us for the 6X chart before ordering.
Regular 2XL and plus-size 2X are not automatically interchangeable.
The source writes its grouped sizes as 6-7, 10-12, and 14-16;
this guide displays them as 6/7, 10/12, and 14/16 to match the product selector.
These are youth size labels, not inch measurements or a guarantee of fit by age.

The selector also lists 6/7, but this product’s published text chart starts
at size 8. Contact us for size 6/7 measurements. Do not use the boys’ chart
to fill in missing girls’ measurements. Other children’s styles may use
different charts, including sizes not shown here.
Applies to the linked insulated ski-pant style. Do not use these dimensions
as a universal body-waist chart or for another pant with a different fit
or size system.
Reading U.S. pant labels
Some hiking and cargo pants use a waist-and-inseam label such as
32W × 30L, rather than S, M, or L.
W identifies the nominal waist size and L the nominal inseam, in inches.
In that example, the label indicates a 32-inch waist and a 30-inch inseam;
it is not a verified finished-garment measurement.
Our
Tactical Cargo Pants
use this W/L system. Choose an actual combination offered on that product page;
not every waist is paired with every inseam. Do not convert the S–XL
ski-pant chart above into W/L labels.
Footwear
Use the US men’s or US women’s system shown for the exact shoe.
The conversions below come from the linked models, not a generic
international conversion chart.
These are this product’s published conversions. Its current selector lists
US 6.5, 7.5, 8, 8.5, 9, and 9.5; a chart entry is not a promise that a size
or color is available.
These are this product’s published conversions. Its current selector lists
US 8.5, 9, 10, 10.5, 11, and 12. Do not substitute a women’s shoe chart
for this men’s model.
About the millimeter column:
The source charts label it “MM” without specifying foot length,
insole length, or internal shoe length. It is retained here as a listed
reference, not a verified internal dimension or a guaranteed maximum
foot length. Contact us if you need that distinction to choose your size.
How to measure
Use a flexible tape and keep it comfortably level.
Record your measurements without pulling the tape tight.
First confirm whether your chosen product’s chart is based on
the body or the garment.
Chest / bust
For a body measurement, measure around the fullest part with your arms
relaxed. For a garment comparison, use the same method stated in the
product’s chart; a flat underarm width is not the same as a full circumference.
Waist
For a body measurement, measure around your natural waist.
Pants can sit higher or lower, so check the style’s rise and whether
the listed waist is a body, relaxed-garment, or stretched-garment measurement.
Hip
For a body measurement, keep the tape level around the fullest part of
your hips and seat. If the chart is based on the garment, compare it
with a similar pair of pants that fits you well.
Inseam
On a well-fitting pair of pants, measure along the inside leg from the
crotch seam to the hem. Do not substitute the outside-leg length for the inseam.
Sleeve, shoulder & length
Confirm where the measurement starts and ends. Shoulder-to-cuff sleeve
length differs from center-back-to-cuff length; jacket length also
depends on the specified starting point.
Feet
Measure both feet while standing, wearing the socks you plan to use.
Record heel-to-longest-toe length and use the larger foot for comparison
with a confirmed foot-length chart.
Before you choose
Winter jackets and layering
Consider the layers you will wear underneath, along with chest room,
shoulder movement, and sleeve length. A garment chart must allow room
beyond your body measurements. Do not automatically add a size to every
insulated or heated style; use that item’s fit instructions.
Regular, plus-size, Big and Tall labels
Similar labels can belong to different fit systems. For example,
women’s 2X is not automatically the same as regular 2XL, and men’s 2XB
has different waist and sleeve references from 2XLT.
Compare the applicable product chart.
Children’s grouped sizes
Use the child’s current measurements rather than age alone.
A grouped size such as 10/12 does not guarantee fit for every child
aged 10–12. Boys’ and girls’ charts can differ, even when their size
labels match.
Between sizes or missing measurements
Do not interpolate a missing size from neighboring rows.
Send us the product link, intended size, and the measurements you need
checked before ordering. A chart entry also does not guarantee current stock.
Other clothing, swimwear and outdoor equipment
Trench coats, vests, swimwear, heated clothing, and other styles may use
separate fit charts. Use the listing’s own measurements.
For bags, tents, and sleeping bags, check the listed dimensions,
capacity, and user-length guidance rather than clothing sizes.
